When most baby girls hit about 18 months they begin to show great interest in babies. It is always so cute to see toddlers, only barely past infancy themselves pointing to and trying to care for other children they identify as a ‘bebe’. Most toddlers of this age and interest are provided with a baby doll of her own to love, in some cases many baby dolls.

A snap, click and we all fall down: the wonder of legos lasts a lifetime. OK, so your baby would rather eat the Legos than play with them, but your toddler loves the colors, the towers and building then destroying vast Lego empires. How do you balance the need to keep your baby from choking and your older child’s need for engaging in imaginative play?

Can you remember back to when you were a kid and playing with LEGOs was the best way to pass the time? LEGOs are still great learning toys for children. They are simple blocks or pieces that allow a child to express his or her imagination in whatever way he or she wishes. Years ago you could only buy the buckets filled with the small blocks and you would have to assemble them however you could. But now you can buy actual LEGO sets, such as the LEGO Creator Beach House, which even comes with directions for assembly.
