Barbie is cool. I mean dressing her up in luxurious clothes, making her go shopping and stroll around in her Barbie car and all those things are really cute. However, there’s something a lot better than just high heels, bright gowns and a blonde boyfriend. Can you imagine Barbie in dark leather armor, knee-high boots with metal plates around it, a chakram hanging by her waist, a weighty metal shield by her arm, a great metal sword dangling on her back and a black, long whip dangling around her hips? It is difficult to see a brunette Barbie at the mall looking like that since I’m not talking Barbie anymore.

In 1982 a couple of shoppers began struggling in a retail store to be the one to purchase the last Cabbage Patch doll on the shelf. They were both injured. And the craze about collecting Cabbage Patch Dolls began.

Wooden toy trucks have been favorite toys for youngsters for decades. We all know why parents like them so well – they’re safe, there are no sharp edges or pieces that can break off and become a choking hazard and they are durable. But why, given all the remote control toys and electronic toys that talk and play games, would a kid still prefer a simple wooden truck or car to play with?
